At Hearthstone Manor we take pride in saying that we take exceptional care of our residents and staff. We have invested into the best technology options for the care of our residents. We also invest into technology that frees up our staff time from paperwork and provides them with higher number of hours for resident care.

Below is a small list of entertainment and activities at Hearthstone Manor:

• Live singers and musicians including opera singers several times a month
• Many art and craft activities on a weekly basis
• Painting/coloring/sketching to help keep motor skills active
• Karaoke events with our staff and full-time Recreation Director
• Cooking and baking especially around themes and holiday events
• Plethora of games: board games, puzzles, trivia, bingo, active games to encourage body and mind stimulation
• Gardening – our residents and Recreation Director maintain herb gardens, interact with our garden team to enjoy the wide variety of flowering plants we grow
• Movie nights with snacks and drinks
• Weekly light exercises such as yoga, stretching, tossing the ball, bowling, drumming & more
• Assisted walks, wheelchair strolls for fresh air
• Pet and children visits – several staff members bring their pets while our young volunteers make cards and artwork for our residents. Teen volunteers spend time conversing with our residents as well as play bingo and trivia with them.
• Inhouse spa and salon – we offer manicures and nail painting, haircuts and blow-dries in a stylish salon

Food Philosophy we follow:

We strive to serve the most fresh and best quality food at Hearthstone Manor. There is rarely anything that is served out of a can or preserved.  We purchase the highest quality proteins, and our Chefs are highly experienced not only in cooking but interacting well with our residents. Not only are the meals delicious, but also nutritious, low in sodium, wide in variety and often revolve around various themes to make it fun. We focus on hydration plans that are offered along with recreational activities to encourage our residents to stay healthy. We offer inclusive monthly take out such as Chinese, seafood, pizza and fast food to keep it interesting for our residents.

• Activity Pro to track resident recreation activities
• Deputy to manage staff scheduling and time management
• QuickBooks for bookkeeping & accounting
• Cloud based data management to reduce use of paper
• Most of our staff and resident forms are now digital with electronic signatures on DocuSign
